I like how that new remix of the original Contra theme sounds way more rocking than MegaDriver's lame attempt at it.
This game looks so old school it's painful. And from what I saw, they're actually putting the two screens to practical use. It doesn't even feel out of place, given how vertically oriented the original Contra got. This looks gold. I spy levels based off both Contra's first level, and Contra 3's first level, complete with surprise evil dogs. I hope they don't fall into the trap of making the game 80% "nostalgic" rehashes of all the levels from the previous games. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
