I'm highly dubious of that. Then again, this is Canada, and not the United States.
Regardless, whatever the teachers want, I say give it to them. If you want professors who actually know what they're talking about to actually take up the teaching profession in favor of plying their knowledge in a job elsewhere, you have to make the position lucrative enough. It's the reason the educational system down here is such a ruin. Don't get on the teachers' case, lean on your government to properly compensate your educators. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
