What in the hell is sony thinking? Are they just on drugs or something or are they intentionally TRYING to lose customers

Basically. In an effort to make their console more attractive, they axe one of the few things that got people to at least consider the machine. This decision just seems to be the latest in a long line of choices where they on the right track, but just sabotage things.

I played through it again this morning and it seemed perfectly lengthy for a demo. I REALLY want to buy the game, but I also REALLY want to actually play through the other ones first...I'm all about platformers, but I have yet to play a single Ratchet & Clank game

Like SouthJag mentioned, you can net all of them without putting too big of a dent in your wallet. The humor may not be for everyone, and the platforming slowly edging more towards third person shooter may put you off, but other than that it's a blast.
