Heh, I've had a few folks who were like this and it definitely does suck a good bit of the fun out of the game. Randomizing certain things like AcerBandit mentioned is a blast, especially when you set items to high.

E for All already had this one shown, along with quite a bit of Adventure mode gameplay with Donkey Kong and Diddy. Same for Kirby and Peach (and the Halberd) and Mario and Pit.

After seeing that edited version of the Rasslor episode with only Captain Falcon's voice (Grunts, groans, Falcon PAUNCH, etc..) I can't mention him without a grin sprouting on my face. I think it's that he seems like he's trying way too hard to be cool or hardcore and it comes off as hilariously cheesy.
I hate his goddamn recovery though, it's been my demise many times.

Whoa, Fire Emblem Theme and a video! Looks like Rayquaza's in (whether as a boss, pokeball or just in this one scene). Not much of a stretch, since the other two clowns have been revealed already.

It might be that, or a certain character who has appeared in the Smash Bros. games until now might be just a color swap. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and Ness is dramatically different from Lucas if he is indeed in Brawl.

A lot of people do, that's why there's the whole running joke about things being "banned from tournaments".

Hopefully these two haven't been posted already, but these two videos have what seem like color swaps for Bowser (Shiny gold for shell and the spiked things on his arms. It doesn't apply for Giga Bowser, though he gets a blue shell instead of green.

This next one looks like a darker Metaknight color. Some folks say Dark Metaknight, but all I can see that he seems to have some dark aura thing around him and red eyes (I'd rather we get a better picture or alternate color update).

The new Fox illusion sound is kind of irritating.

Edit: Here's another video with some costumes. Peach's Daisy one is back, and it looks like Diddy has one too but they zoomed out and it ended. Fox was wearing something strange too, but it was just like the other one in that they pulled back and it went to another clip.

Whoa, spectator mode. Decent update, the real big deal is that there's stickers you can earn (also you can bet on the matches). I can see one of those dudes from Fire Emblem, Toad, Silver, a Nintendog and what looks like Grey Fox.

Most of them are simple color swaps, but some characters do have additions to their models like a different clothes or what appears to be a labcoat in Fox's case. Here's the videos I posted before so you can see some of them.
