Regular Megaman has way less abilities than X.
For some reason, I don't think that'll matter much given how the SSB games have made other characters work. Not to mention that opens the doors to things like having folks like Beat or Rush to show up to help out.

Quote:
I think X and Zero are the likelier candidates, as they've been representing the latest arcs in the main series to this day. And besides, X is Dr. Light's final masterwork, whereas Megaman was just designed as a house-cleaning robot.
I'd give the nod to the Megaman that's been around longer, but out of those two, we'd wind up with Zero since that's where the attention's been for some time now. Don't bitch or whine, lest we get some shit like the megaman from Battle Network or Axl.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

What are you talking about, it DEFINITELY matters! Original Megaman couldn't upgrade his armor, climb walls, dash, air dash, charge his buster three times, charge his enemies' weapons, or even crouch. X could do all these things and more, so I think he's far more likely, as they don't have to contrive very many ideas for him to use that weren't in his games.
We'll just have to agree to disagree, then. I've always found that half the fun is seeing what they've come up with to make a character work in SSB. I'd definitely take a roster of characters like this than folks with little or no need for it.

Quote:
It's either one or the other. They want to do away with clone characters so I doubt they'll be putting regular Megaman in alongside X, unless they implement a grand "alternate costumes" idea in which every character has alternate versions of themselves with slightly altered movesets.

Metools are still around, though, so maybe one of those could be in as an assist trophy...
It'd be... neither. Zero from the newer titles would pop in.

Personally, I think Roll will make it in, with her final smash being Dr. Light.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, I remember aeroblast doing some kind of wobbly, circular motion instead of just being some simple being. It'd make sense given that it's basically just a sideways tornado.

Anyone notice the glaring omission of the description for the Electric type transformation for Pokemon Stadium 2? The ground one sounds kind of boring, unless there's something else to it beyond there being a mound of dirt in the way. The other two are crazy, especially the flying state.

How ya doing, buddy?

Maybe the stadium music plays and when the stage is about to take on one of its forms, the evolution part starts up. It'd definitely make sense, and it'd be a clever way of linking the music to the battlefield (beyond it already being pokemon themed).

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

And it looks like there's even more stuff in the game that uses the Wi-Fi connection, so this is apparently the tip of the iceberg. Definitely a nice update, though there isn't much that can top this.

I wonder if they don't flinch while doing this, since there was no mention of invincibility whatsoever. Leaving that out would make this worthless, since someone could wind up behind you and stop it.

I think they will, I mean, maybe they will have a cooldown after using those powers, and after that, the trainer has to call two Pokemon, leaving one "orderless" for few seconds.
After the Final Smash is done, the other two could simply be called back automatically, leaving you with the one that grabbed it.

Something I've been wondering though, if Kirby eats the pokemon, he'll gain their moves, no? I was sort of imagining him using some weird Kirby-imitations of the pokemon while he has some trainer clothes on.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

This confirms it: This is the best week of updates so far. We've got snakes, landlords, clusters of pixels, shadowy biblical figures and Lucas. Damn.

This line has got me curious though:

Interesting update tonight, Kirby's Final Smash and Ashley's theme. Ashley confirmed for Brawl maybe? Just kidding, but who knows at this point.

Looks like Kirby throws in items, or makes items pop out of the pot.

Damn, just hopped on over to the Japanese version of Ashley's theme and her voice is adorable in that one. Looks like for Diddy and Kirby's, items are produced. I wonder how many more folks will have something like this.

Yeah, I can't get over the feeling that this has to be a joke.

At any rate, it better not be delayed in North America. If the inclusion of Sonic has anything to do with it, it's not worth it.
Wouldn't be surprised at all if it's delayed here in North America and Europe, especially taking into account the length of the delay. I'd rather wait a bit longer and get what they're putting in.

We've waited long enough, what's another month?

Looks like there won't be a '07 release date for it, which makes me wonder what could they be adding or tweaking to cause this delay.

- Sonic related stage. PLEASEBECASINOPLEASEBECASINOPLEASEBECASINO
Chemical Zone, please. Then you can have your silly shiny noisy jackpot area. Taking a look at the two videos again, it looked like Sonic's up+b was a bumper.

It'd be funny if that was really the case and I'm not just seeing things.

I'd be perfectly happy with Chemical Zone. What I was thinking (when I said that) was that A classic stage from one of the Genesis games would be completely awesome, and The Casino stage was the first that came to mind. Articulation is hard when I'm shocked I guess.

I'm not even a large Sonic fan, but the inclusion of his character opens up the possibility to even more third party characters, which I'm sure most people would approve of.
Didn't he say there would only be two or three? We're already at 2 and if there was going to be a third one, Megaman is a tough one to beat. Makes me wonder if any counterparts are included in that statement.

Maybe they should just make Mr. Game and Watch an Assist Trophy and then let your own personal Mii be a playably character?

I didn't really pay much attention to Mr. Game and Watch. I only used him a few times for the Adventure Mode and Classic Mode. It would be really cool to have your own Mii be in the game in some way though.
Damn, that would be pretty awesome actually. I'd take my Mii over G&W, even if it was fun using sausages and the whacky shit he uses.

Why did you spoiler tag a Melee screen?
People don't like scrolling past screen after screen after screen after screen. I got complaints about that, so I make sure to tag them just to avoid stuff like that in the future.

Looks like the regular color scheme for Pit to me.
Looks too yellowish to be that, considering that he's just wearing white normally, and not dingy sheets either.
