Adventure games, anyone?

I love adventure games, i mean i LOVE them to death.

Now i've missed quite a few classics, like Gabriel Knight(1, 2 and 3) And curse of a Monkey Island. But i've played stuff like Broken Sword (all), leisure suit larry, day of the tentacle, sam and max, and Indigo prophecy.

What i'm asking is : What games do you think i missed, or should be playing, in this Genre?

I've currently got:

- Gabriel Knight trilogy (Waiting to be played)
- Runaway (A road adventure)

Suggest me some more? Please do remember, suggest stuff for the PC, i love point and click stuff (and 2d) much more than others.

Oh and please don't include anything remotely related to RPGs.

Suggest away !

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm having trouble playing the first Gabriel Knight on my pc.

Seems that windows XP can't run at anything lower than 800X600 something (or whatever) and i can't get the game to be full screen (it's 640X480), i really, i mean REALLY hate the borders (the window) i got it to run ok, but no matter what i check it still runs in a window.

Help With that !

Also i failed to mention i've played Grim Fandango. Awesome game, still gonna continue it (Haven't gone past year 3 yet) so dunno how it'll go, but loved it for the whole thing.

Suggest more , people, i can't get enough Adventure.

Btw i'm currently getting Syberia, Bad mojo and The longest journey.

I've played thru 3 chapters of "Runaway - A road adventure" .. It's pretty boring isn't it? And too .. ummm.. "Un-logical" ? Most choices don't make sense, puzzles are tedious for no reason and the pacing is slowed down by the constant walking back and forth. I wonder if i'll work up the interest to finish it.

How ya doing, buddy?

The entire King's Quest series is worth a look, particularly King's Quest 5 & 6. The artwork in these games is gorgeous, and the musical score is exceptional considering when they were made. They also aren't so old that the graphics are horribly pixellated, and the game does support a mouse .

Yeah...I know. Graphics whore. Not really though. I like amazing gameplay over graphics as much as the next guy, but there comes a point where it just detracts from the fun, unless I'm playing it on my NES .
Actually no, you're not a graphics whore at all if that's your philosophy. At least i wouldn't consider you one cuz i have the same view :P .

I was speaking idiomatically.
