Man I am so excited to hear this! This is Sakimoto's biggest and most involved work to date. He has never worked on a larger title. Although his work is suffering slightly with all the projects he is taking on (still better than 95% of other composers' work), I have confidence that he will deliver another haunting, dramatic score that will perfectly suit the game.

The silence is deafening.
Does this mean that everyone is underwhelmed as I am about what they heard on the whole in the psf2 soundtrack? I'm a Sakimoto fanboy, yet I couldn't help but think that I've heard it all before. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I don't think it is a bad soundtrack, but I'm forced to admit I think even FFVIII and FFX had stronger soundtracks on the whole. It can't even touch the classic soundtracks of FFIIIj-VII. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
