They upgraded all of the buildings in my high school during my junior year and built a few new ones. One day during senior year, there was an acutal fire in the jewelry making class two doors down from my class room, and the alarms went off in the new building, but not the building I was in. And they didn't stop going off until halfway through the next period. The noise was so annoying that most teachers taped tissue over the alarm so that we could get on with class.
