If this is a remake they couldn't possibly mess it up, but I don't know if I want a sequel considering Nintendo's underwhelming track record for DS platformers (NSMB, Yoshi's Island 2, Wario something, Super Princess Peach). Not much to go on now though.

Kirby is probably, to my knowledge, the only mascot that has NEVER had a 3D game. Mario, Sonic, DK, Castlevania, and numerous other ongoing series have all made the transition to 3D, except for Kirby.

Kirby Air Ride is terrible since it caused Sakurai to leave HAL.
There was a
Gamecube Kirby title being developed but it was canceled, perhaps because the creator left? Seeing as how Nintendo never throws away their unfinished code and how an untitled Kirby game for the Wii has been
announced I wouldn't be surprised if you'd get to see some awesome enemy stackan soon.
