I ordered the compilation "Radio Malaya" through the mail a few weeks back, saved all of 60 cents from the in-store price (although the fact that it wasn't scheduled to be in stores 'till this month did play a part in my decision). A compilation of Malaysian underground guitar-rock acts, although the vast majority are more on the "indie pop" side of the fence. Still some absolute scorchers (= "hard and fast" tracks) on the album though.
Overall, very good, and paying RM19.30 for it (RM15 for the CD, the rest for stamps and the cost of express delivery and such) was more than worth it. ![]() Jam it back in, in the dark.

Bought Napalmed / Merzbow - "Crash of the Titans" and a 4-way split tape between Damage Digital, Torture Incident, Extreme Decay and Demisor entitled "Durian Is Food, Grind Is Good". Got both for RM35, and come to think of it I probably could've spent another RM5 and gotten Phobia's "Get Up and Kill".
Both are good albums, although the second Merzbow track off of "Crash of the Titans" is kinda lackluster. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
![]() Bought Thursday's "A City by the Light Divided" recently. Pretty good album, I'm liking it quite a bit. How ya doing, buddy? |
![]() I really like it. Was actually looking to buy "White Light/White Heat" but they didn't have that, so I bought this one instead. Good stuff, I say. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Sodom's "Agent Orange" is bloody awesome, yes?
THE FIRE THAT DOESN'T BURN! I was speaking idiomatically. |
Haha, hey, as they say, better late then never.
Sodom was my first real exposure to thrash metal, I think. I was at this music shop (that specialized in metal and rock) and stumbled upon a tape of that album, thinking to myself "hey, this looks pretty good." I asked the owner about it and he goes "best thrash album ever" and pops said tape into the cd/cassette player. Needless to say, much headbanging ensued. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
That Spawn of Possession album is ace.
I picked up a couple of CDs and a DVD at yesterday's gig (could have picked up more, but I was saving some cash): HORSE the Band - A Natural Death Halal/Hadhari - Kids Roar When Meet the Lion (Malaysian emo/screamo band) And (a copy of) Nocturno Culto's "The Misanthrope" DVD. Which is a bit odd. Not sure if I like it. But, hey, kvlt as fvck Darkthrone rehearsal footage! Footage of forests! Uh... yeah. FELIPE NO

Raided a flea market at a nearby shopping mall last Sunday and I got Fear Factory's Demanufacture (the limited edition digipak) and Terminally Your Aborted Ghost's Slowly Peeling the Flesh from the Inside of a Folded Hand (random purchase, turned out to be worth the money).
I also bought (a very well-done pirate job of) the Criterion Collection's 2-DVD release of Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru. Most amazing jew boots |
