well for the price, the 3800 (non-x2) is way better than the 4000. it's only around $105 here.
if you do a lot of multitasking, get a dual-core. it will also future-proof you for any multithreaded stuff in the future, unless you upgrade often. if you do no multitasking or very light stuff and don't do things that benefit from dualcore (encoding, video editing, heavy multitasking) then get a fast single-core and upgrade to dualcore later when they're cheaper and more prevailant. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
