I think around 14-15 is too old for trick or treating but your never too old to celebrate halloween. For example, we are 21-23 in our house and are having a huge halloween party and then a horror movie-thon, and maybe a Ouija board for fun. I think Halloween is one of the best holidays of the year because it is one of the few that people actually know the meaning behind. Even christmas has little meaning left now, people just see it as a day where you get presents and eat alot, where as when I was younger we used to go to church on christmas eve.
I look forward to Halloween much more than any of the other holidays and I really hope the brits start taking more notice of the way the americans celebrate it, with decorations, spooky things and over the top ness. The British dont really over celebrate it and I think we are missing an oppurtunity because its a such a fun holiday and very interesting.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
