Storms

I'm sitting here at my desk at the office as dark clouds pass by overhead and thunder grows steadily closer. According to Forecastfox, there's a huge-ass wall of storms headed my way.

Personally, I've always been a storm fanatic. I'd be a storm-chaser if there were steady enough money in it. I've always loved thunder, lightning, high winds, tornadoes, the works; to the point that I always said that if I died being hoovered up by a tornado, I would die a happy, albeit dizzy, man.

How about my fellow GFFers? Are you the storm-crazy types who'll run outside with a video camera and suck up every last second of footage you can, or do you prefer to hide in the closet until it's over?

Also, particularly memorable storm experiences. My most recent would be coming back from a class in the city. All was clear on my way to the train station to head to the south side, but coming back from the station after class and driving back to my house, it looked like an H-bomb went off. Branches down, traffic lights out, everything in a general state of disarray. I asked what happened when I got home and found out that while it missed our town, apparently a tornado had come through the area. Somewhat unusual for the N. suburbs of Chicago.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It is not my custom to go where I am not invited.
