If you're willing to consider PS1 games, try Wild Arms 2. The plot, while not necessarily "Lord of the Rings" epic, has a nice way of unfolding multiple times to become something bigger and bigger, and has plenty of intricacies.
Overall the game's regarded by many WA fans to be the best of the WA series, and if you can forgive the less-than-stellar translation, there's a lot to like about it. Jam it back in, in the dark. It is not my custom to go where I am not invited. |
