Not only that, Gran Turismo 4 is already HD capable. I rented it after I got my 1080i-capable HDTV to see what it was like. I didn't really enjoy the game, but it was quite a sight to see.

The other games there, though, really don't look that impressive. Maybe it's because the images are compressed and downscaled, but this looks more like PS2.5. So far nothing to impress me beyond what I've seen in some PC games (the one first-person shooter looked way too much like Half-Life 2).

I've already seen screenshots from other tentative PS3 titles that have impressed me more than these. C'mon, Sony, you've got a system with a year's head start and another one that can brutalize you in the price arena to compete with, as well as ill will from XCP to make up for. If you're going to do graphics, you've gotta do better than this.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
