In other news, technically the last thing I bought was my Lite. Best hardware upgrade ever. (Fuck those screens are nice. Seriously).

Yeah, I'd say something is wrong with you.

Advent Rising is a HUGE waste of cash, and the others I singled out aren't any good either. At least you picked up PGR2 and New Super Mario to sort of balance out some of this. =o

If you're so keen on Xbox games, I'd have picked up Rallisport 2, if you didn't have it yet. =o

How ya doing, buddy?

True enough, that was the only one I was questioning if I should highlight as a bad purchase. I personally didn't like any of the Onimushas that much, but it's hardly a flawed game, as opposed to the other three.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

In addition, the GBA version has some weird ass bugs like your characters getting turns instantly without having to wait, and that makes an already easy game ridiculously simple. This bug is so prevalent that even the hardest bosses attached to the bonus dungeon are extremely simple.

I was speaking idiomatically.

We'll get better, russ. I'm sure of it. (Not going to happen. BelkanAirForce gonna be the worst squad in the game)

I bought Double Agent on Saturday, because Ronz told me to. And now I'm done with the single player campaign. Unfortunately I didn't beat it before BZ did (I was trying to get through it before he beat it), but he kicked my ass.

Fucking great fun though. Although that whole double agent mechanic is n't that exciting. Your choices don't mean that much, to be honest. And you need to complete a variety of objectives to avoid instantly losing all the trust of either group anyway, so the whole "YOU'RE FREE TO FOLLOW ORDERS OR NOT" thing isn't as prevalent or important as it's made out to be. That, and the JBA headquarters missions were all pretty tiresome. I only beat it on Normal, but that was middle of the line challenging enough. I doubt I'll go through it again though on hard, since the single player campaign is one of those things that works much better if you don't know what's around the next corner.

But the rest of the game was SHITLOADS of fun. Highly recommended, A++++++++, would buy series again, that sort of thing. I just suck mad, MAD balls at multiplayer right now, and me and the other dudes who bought it need to get together and play it more. Because as it stands, me and russ by ourselves are fucking TERRIBLE.

I also bought God Hand (can't stand the camera. Funny and fun, but the camera takes a dump on the final product and practically ruins it. 6.5/10.) and Tales of the Abyss (Only 8 hours in. Great fun so far though.) recently. And uhh...that's it, I think. For the last two weeks, at least.

Confirming that this is quite possibly the bestest thing ever. The CE is my most recent purchase, as of yesterday.

Since my last post about Double Agent, God Hand, and Tales of the Abyss, I've picked up no less than 8 games besides Gears. In the last two weeks. So uhhh. Wow, I didn't even notice until this post. Empty wallet is empty.

PS2:
Final Fantasy XII Collector's Edition. (Solely because of the metal tin. I am actually really hating this offline MMO game right now.)

360:
Need for Speed Carbon. (Because I'm a whore for racers and this is actually a boatload of fun. No lie. Seriously I've somehow sunk like, 15 hours into this already, and this last week was my midterm week.)

PSP:
Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. (Easily PSP's GOTY, beats out Lumines 2 because of Lumines II's shitty track list. Fucking amazing on it's own merits too.)

GCN: (!)
Baten Kaitos II. (Because I'm late to the party. But it was on the cheap thanks to using Mo0 for a TRU 2:1 deal.)
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody. (Don't laugh. I really really dig the relaxing nature of these games, and MM is by far the best 3D one. Got it based on the same sale as BKII.)

DS:
Children of Mana (Competant dungeon crawler. Useful in short bursts at work lunch hours. Not all that great otherwise though.)
Magical Starsign. (See BKII above)

GBA:
Final Fantasy V Advance (3rd best FF deserves a purchase, especially after getting cleaned up, retranslated and made portable. It's a lot of fun.)

And this week is Yoshi's Island 2 and a couple of expensive consoles. Ugh.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

SInce my last post I've gotten at least a dozen titles that I'm completely unable to list because I'm far too tired at this hour to bother remembering.

However, yesterday I got Every Extend Extra, because Q?, and because I'm a whore for that sort of shit. Very fun, of course, but damn if the learning curve isn't rough as fuck.

Then again, maybe I'm just AWFUL.

So Ultima finally buys some games instead of some consoles and he chooses some N64 ones?

There's like, half a dozen or so at my Walmart and they haven't moved in ages. EB's got some too.

If it's that hard to find though I might have to bother just buying it. Hmm. Good to know.

Ninety Nine Nights wins for the most slow paced button mashing game to ever exist. Don't worry, this was free.
Free is still too much. While mindless, the boss battles are totally fucking broken beyond all comprehension and are just stupid to the max. They actually get to the point where they wring out any other, albeit minor, enjoyment you may be getting out of the game and let it go down the shitter.

Quote:
PGR3's neat. Japanese version is in English with Japanese pop oh yeah. I guess Photoshop 2 (Forza 2) makes this game irrelevant
Not really. Forza's more about being technically proficient while PGR is more about style. It's hard to explain this difference unless you enjoy more than the casual racing game, but it's true. Also, PGR3's NA version has one of the best licensed soundtracks I've heard in a modern racer. Beats the pants off of Burnout/NFS/most others.
