I was hoping that you'd have time to put this idea forward soon! Fantastic. <3

In, obviously.

If I gotta pick a date...well, just slot me in whenever.

Also I wouldn't personally want it console specific at first, but that's just me. Maybe on the second run though?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Metal Month's single daily post thread and secondary discussion thread was the template I was thinking this would follow. Perhaps I'm underestimating how many replies this would generate. But, y'know, he did mention that in the OP.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Alternatively.

If anyone is uncertain of when they'll be around and won't know exactly when/if they'll be able to make a date given to or assigned to them, if you want to write the thing beforehand and PM it to me, I'll post it on your behalf on the given day.

Additional Spam:
Another thought.

What if we all PM our choice of games to Angel or whatever, and then he can determine if there are any duplicates, and tell that person discreetly if so. That way it's still somewhat of a surprise for those of us reading the thread, but no one ends up with dupes.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I got no more suggestions or ideas or nothing off the top of my head, no. But I'm glad I could be of some use, though. =o

Now comes the hard part of thinking up something that could be discussion worthy, needs more exposure to the average reader, something someone else won't likely pick or expect, and is generally tip top pimpin'.

Personally, I like the two thread approach, at least to test the waters. If it turns into something far larger, we can always scale up. However, this is your idea, so whatever you want I'll do my best to help facilitate.

Anyway, I am personally having trouble coming up with a title that would not better suit a possible console specific iteration down the line. Perhaps I am giving this too much thought, though.

I was speaking idiomatically.

If you had noticed in the OP, you'd realize it was a two thread setup, like Metal Month.

Oh my god. I love all you people so much. We could have 20 remaining entries of FF7 and how awesome cloud's hair is and I don't think it could possibly be tarnished.

Fucking fantastic so far.

Must find a way to make mine some semblance of unique.

My "real" pick is a fairly obscure game that I wanted to bring to people's attention, but I'm sure it won't be as interesting/fun for most people to read.
This is the very same reason I ditched my initial pick and went with what I ended up going with, simply out of trying to be interesting for the reader.

If this is done again, I'll try something more along those lines.

To this day I use the track NIGHT OF BIG BLUE to magically turn my Oldsmobile in a god damn spaceship capable of hurtling me through time to get to my destination before I even leave from my apartment.

Doesn't the fact that you (and many others) go back and play it on a regular basis prove that it's "stood the test of time"?

Just wonderin'

To be the most nitpicking of nitpickers, my article is about Special Tours as it appears in the arcade, which recycled 2's new music, and the next batch of arranges didn't hit until Coast 2 Coast, which is an enhanced port of this.

But you're right, fuck year Magical Sound Shower.

[05/29/09 - 01:05:54] <@CHz> also skills
[05/29/09 - 01:05:58] <@CHz> hawkeye just posted golden sun in the gamers month thread
[05/29/09 - 01:06:00] <@CHz> please fix this
[05/29/09 - 01:06:16] <+Mo0> not until someone fixes that godawful FFVI post
[05/29/09 - 01:07:03] <&Colonel_Skills> Well. I'm just glad he didn't post Lufia: The Ruins of Lore at this point.
[05/29/09 - 01:07:42] <&Colonel_Skills> Golden Sun is the least of my worries
[05/29/09 - 01:07:55] <&Colonel_Skills> alternatively since he lives in Winnipeg I can go kill him IRL
[05/29/09 - 01:07:58] <&Colonel_Skills> would that be sufficient
[05/29/09 - 01:08:46] <@CHz> Maybe, let me actually read this post first.
[05/29/09 - 01:09:16] <+Mo0> It's not very good.
[05/29/09 - 01:09:34] <+Mo0> I mean Hawkeye is a nice guy and all but I seriously think he may actually be 15 years old.
[05/29/09 - 01:09:56] <@CHz> "All things considered, Golden Sun has a very basic story." at least you admit it
[05/29/09 - 01:10:03] <@CHz> "The story doesn't seem terribly complex, but playing through Golden Sun, The Lost Age (the sequel to this game) explains a lot of the story and fleshes out the characters a lot better." no it doesn't
[05/29/09 - 01:10:11] <+Mo0> no it doesn't
[05/29/09 - 01:10:18] <@CHz> "Isaac and his allies come across various interesting people and cultures" no they don't
[05/29/09 - 01:10:42] <+Mo0> "I’m really not very good at reviewing games" we noticed
[05/29/09 - 01:11:03] <+Mo0> "for all intensive purposes" NO
[05/29/09 - 01:11:08] <+Mo0> THIS IS NOT CORRECT
[05/29/09 - 01:11:09] <@CHz> ^^^^^^^^^
[05/29/09 - 01:11:20] <@CHz> "I almost forgot. The music is awesome." no it's not; wish you had
[05/29/09 - 01:11:26] <+Mo0> ^^
[05/29/09 - 01:11:50] <+Mo0> "In conclusion, I think that I enjoy this game most for its simplicity." you don't sound very sure of that
[05/29/09 - 01:12:14] <@CHz> "I'd give samples, but doing so would be incredibly impractical and difficult due to the lack of preparation on my part." wrote this ten minutes ago
[05/29/09 - 01:12:30] <+Mo0> "The game is very linear, without too much for character development, story, complex puzzles, or any of the other things I usually look for in a game...this game is probably the one which sold me on the (J)RPG genre when I was younger." what
[05/29/09 - 01:12:34] <&Colonel_Skills> copy pastaing this into the discussion thread
[05/29/09 - 01:12:37] <@CHz> let me quote that again
[05/29/09 - 01:12:38] <@CHz> "The game is very linear, without too much for character development, story, complex puzzles, or any of the other things I usually look for in a game."
[05/29/09 - 01:12:52] <@CHz> here once more
[05/29/09 - 01:12:52] <@CHz> "The game is very linear, without too much for character development, story, complex puzzles, or any of the other things I usually look for in a game."

I was speaking idiomatically.
