This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. It's more than numerous flaws can be easily overcome in a lot of areas, but in others, they become so readily apparent that they suck the fun out of this faster than the speed you shoot down the Live leaderboards.

The camera is the biggest culprit by a mile and a half. I don't understand how it's terrible for EVERY BOSS FIGHT. Every single one. There's only one enemy to focus on for the most part, why does this not function properly? Jesus.

There are other issues both technically and logistically, but I'm going to finish this first to see if they improve or worsen before drawing final judgement.

No. There's only 9 of the things in the game.

From the life bar, you can tell I used 7 (in addition to two full increases from the regular life of the Gods). I have 10, now, after the fact. And I can't even use two of them to make my life bar the full length. I get an error noise. I also have three more jewels of the demon seal than I can't possibly use. All my ninpo is at max level.

That's just an example of the bugs I've dealt with.

In addition, there's been a few cases where I've fallen through the geometry. One time I was wall running and got stuck in a pillar. Was basically stuck there until a werewolf hit me out. There was another time I got stuck in a wall in a cave.

Enemies have refused to spawn for the Rod of Trials on the playthrough I started for the claws only achievement (I abandoned this playthrough and did the scythe one instead after this happened.)

I have had it freeze attempting to load stages, freeze in the loading of a cutscene, and freeze LOADING THE DAMN LEADERBOARDS. There have been situations where I had to do a hard reset because an enemy didn't spawn that needed to to continue.

There's bugs galore in this and it's fucking disgusting. It's a shame too, because the combat is just so DAMN FUN and rewarding in and of itself. And I won't even get started on it's other, non-technical flaws, either.

There's a LOT it does right, but there's so little polish or effort put into making it a great overall experience that the whole thing feels cheapened. And it's really, really sad.

That's the thing though. It's not totally and completely broken. It's perfectly playable, but there are a large amount of niggling problems that really, REALLY wear down your enthusiasm for it.

I appreciate what it did with combat over the first game enough that I slogged through it, twice. When it works, it works really well. It becomes hilarious, fun, and funny. But when it doesn't, it frustrates like no other. Be it the camera or one of several other non-technical issues either, you can and will get annoyed.

It's just such a shame, since it IS worth playing through at least once. It IS rewarding when you get into the groove. It's just not great.
