While I love Star Ocean 2 to death, I'm willing to bet SE will outsource these ports to TOSE again and we'll end up with complete and utter shit ports. A shame they don't care enough about these properties to do any real quality control.

Yeah why pay for anything when you can get it for free? Just go to the store and take whatever you need.

Edge...Maverick.

And I didn't think it could get any worse than Fayt Leingod.

Confirmed hero name for Star Ocean 5: CoolDude McBadass.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

IGN: Xbox 360 RPG Press Conference Live Blog

Star Ocean 4 to be multiplatform. In before complaining.

Supposed to be actually SCI FI now, we'll see if that pans out.

I meant more in the way that you're not stuck on some backwater, underdeveloped planet for at least three quarters of the damn thing this time. At least, that's the impression our blogger from the link gave.

It doesn't really explicitly say "multiplatform" there though...
It just says 360 confirmed, but they didn't say it was exclusive to 360.
I mean, I realize that this can easily (and probably DOES) mean it's going multplatform, but we're not sure of that yet.
I'm pretty sure that if it was gonna be exclusive, they'd beat the ever loving snot out of the fact and not leave it as ambigious as they did. I'd say it's a better chance of multiplatform than exclusive for the moment. But I'll edit the title anyway. Good point.

Because it won't live up to it's potential, russ, see. Only exclusive games are the best they can possibly be. Only exclusives take advantage of the hardware upon which they're running.

Or something. I don't know. I don't speak crazy batshit.

Try again, fuckwit. Ryuu is, once again, correct.

Try doing a little research before opening your trap and making yourself look like a progressively larger idiot with each post, ok? It'll be doing a favour for all of us.

For the record, "Star Ocean" did not appear in that trademark list. Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey, Crackdown, etc. were all accounted for.
You must have missed the part where we were specifically talking about Undiscovery. Because that was made quite clear.

I don't really blame you for skimming over those posts though, they're all pretty garbage.

Also, Miles, don't worry. The last act of Vesperia is a LOT shorter than the either of the first two. It's only three and a half dungeons. Only one of which is lengthy.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Alright, so it's their IP, but that doesn't really change anything, Viva Pinata and Blue Dragon are Microsoft IPs as well, look where they're headed. Not to mention Rare is developing Viva Pinata...
Yeah, other, new games in the same series, not a port of the original game onto another console. So your examples don't even apply.

Do you listen to yourself talk or just conveniently ignore logic when you're blathering on? Face it, you're wrong, IU itself won't go anywhere else. Just be a good retard and accept that you made a mistake instead of dragging it out.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Not really, how don't my examples apply?
Because both games were/are DS bound, not to the PS3. Different enough so that they require being completely retooled from the ground up for either new features or entirely new gameplay, and quite simply do not fit into your little conjured up comparison in any logical way that proves that it's likely for IU to go to Sony's machine.

Could there potentially be something set in the universe on a handheld? Sure, there's precedent for that. I wouldn't have ever argued against that. But it's certainly not in the same boat as Eternal Sonata. It's a shame you've got too few firing brain cells to notice the rather vast difference here.

So quit your bullshitting, please. You're scaring the children.
