It's chato, though. Lix's assessment of the man contains a lot of truth.

While I agree that I doubt they'd ever allow your own USB HDD to be hooked up to the thing, I can imagine them releasing a proprietary storage solution later on, and charging an arm and a leg for it.

It's not like they don't have a history of putting out mostly useless, sometimes pricey "feature upgrades".

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yeah, pictures of Pikachu being knocked unconscious with apples and a smiling Professor Oak giving a thumbs up in the background. Oh god I'd paint my house with that image if I could.
Hey man, you gettin' up in mah grill', and knockin' this? Get off the planet, son. I remember wasting my hard earned cash from pimpin' back when I was 12 or whatever the fuck on those fancy blockbuster sticker printing stations where you'd print 4 pics like 6 different times and it would cost 150 dollars. Just so I could put the sticker into the damn guide.

Those stations were only around for 3.6 nanoseconds though. Only saw one two or three times!f

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Man, I remember when I rented Snap at Blockbuster and printed those stickers out a week later when I had to return the game. Good memories, pretty decent game. The others I've never played.
Ahaha, those sticker machines cost an arm and a leg. What was it, like 5 bucks or more for a sticker sheet? So bogus.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Wow, that's... a fucking disappointment in every regard. DKC3 sucks, and is inferior to the previous titles. The other two games I've never heard of, but I expected at least something to stand out for the Christmas release of Virtual Console games. They don't.
Wow, TERRIBLE, Lix. How can you say it's a disappointment if you've not even heard of or played the other two? Although this attitude is held by most of the people in this damn thread, I'll give you that. "Yeah I have never played anything on the TG-16 before but every week that doesn't contain a Nintendo franchise in the release list sucks mad balls". Makes me sooooooo sadface.

While most people are gonna think that DKC3 is the star of this week's releases, they'd be dead fucking wrong.

Blades of Steel motherfuckers. Repre-fucking-sent. I'm not gonna lie. Holllllllllly shit. Great multiplayer hockey or GREATEST MULTIPLAYER HOCKEY?

Honestly probably the latter.

FACEOFF!

Bought so BAD.

Condemning something as lackluster when you haven't even played it is ridiculous. This isn't rocket science. That's what I took issue with primarily. The fact that it's not mostly filled with extremely recognizable titles that the average forum goer's mother would recognize is a hard point to stand against though.

But I'll contend that Blades of Steel certainly makes this a pretty fucking awesome week.

Edit: This was for Matt, before that follow up post.

I wonder how they plan on dealing with those who have never played before and how they are gonna get past the "Dunk the manual in water" bit.

Which, if reports from people who have the US version early are any indication, isn't the case.

Wether or not they're unlockables in Brawl remains to be seen, but it appears that more than a few people have said it's not there.

Of course, this is hardcore rumour time with no reputable source, but that's the early word.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Bionic Commando is 10 bucks on Live and PSN, but 15 on Steam.

Since you can buy units of points in even intervals, they probably thought it's not too bad to just round off, here. A free buck most people won't even notice. And look at the price of other Wiiware stuff, it's in line with it all. Episodic or not.

Again, considering the console it's on, the delivery method, and so forth, it's not entirely difficult to believe they thought they wouldn't have to deal with subscriptions and could make a tiny bit more money with this model.

While I'm not entirely certain of Wiiware sales models and trends, it does make sense that the different demographic present here compared to the PC would be unwilling to jump into the more expensive (in terms initial cost) subscription model, and as such they could get a few more sales this way.

Hell, for all we know, a subscription and auto download option for Wiiware might not feasable with the current store setup. There could be a whole whackload of reasons, actually. I'm not certain of any of them, and am just throwing out ideas as for why.

Digital distro pricing is all over the map everywhere, with no standards of value. It's really just people experimenting to see what they can get away with. Hopefully in a few years, the market establishes itself enough so that there's some sense of equal value around.

I was speaking idiomatically.

The PC Version has more features than the console release. I believe there are a few extra levels and such.
Yeah, but lacks other features like leaderboards. Plus, the extra challenge rooms have yet to be patched in.

Also, I was wrong. It's everywhere BUT Steam. It's at Gamersgate, Capcom's online store, etc.

When I did it last year with Wii Secret Santa, it took a number of hours before it popped up. I'd wait until this evening and check again.

Hell, there was a point at which I was doing it with turnip to see if it'd work between canada and the US, and it took several DAYS to go through.

FAST Racing League is awesome, but other than that probably not.

YouTube Video

Plays a bit more like Wipeout than F-Zero, but that's not really a bad thing. I rocked out on the demo but will probably pick it up when I get around to picking up some Wiiware points on sale.

Nintendo's last Wiiware release for the year. Ah well, VVVVVV came out on the eShop for the 3ds so I grabbed that.
You should also look into Mighty Switch Force, which is excellent.
