It's also a good time to consider changing your credit card number!
Did this within an hour of reading the press release; between the option of putting a fraud alert on my card and potentially tripping it myself as I went out of country to the meet in a few weeks, figured this was the much better option.

Quote:
Check for emails from DoNotReply@ac.playstation.net to see which card they have on file. As for your password, well... right now you can't change or check it.
Hilariously fucked up: Only US accounts have gotten these emails, even though all regions everywhere had the information stolen. Clearly they just don't give a fuck. Awesome!

The only possible way I can think of to check passwords is if you saved the password in your browser and used their site or store.playstation.com for anything.

I'm lucky all mine are unique but still.

That said, saw this via GAF.

This is really bad wording.

It's not down forever, it's down for the moment as they don't know when it's going back up. It's not gone. WSJ here is just being sensationalist.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Words have multiple meanings. You know as well as I do that indefinite can be and often is used as a synonym for unlimited or endless. Especially in business speak. That headline is a touch misleading, yes.

A better one would have used indeterminate. But this is picking nits. There's a tonne of misinformation out there right now.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying that the word is used often enough in other, obviously incorrect contexts that one can easily draw the wrong conclusion from it's usage.

Why is this rocket science for you?

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Shame that I own all those PS3 games except for Dead Nation, which I don't really care about. PSP I guess I'll grab...uhhh....Modnation Racers? Fuck if I know (or care). I'd suggest Wipeout to everyone and their dog if they hadn't ruined it by doubling load times and patching in advertisements for auto insurance after you bought the damn thing.

The Playstation Plus stuff should give you access to a few freebies that can be kept after the free subscription period ends. Which might be the best part of this.

Hope they don't try anything fishy with existing credit cards on file and auto-renew you for the Playstation Plus sub after the month rolls up.

I was speaking idiomatically.
