In elementary school, we used to have something called "Discovery Day" in which professionals from various fields ranging from politicians to apiarists would come talk to us about what they do.
One year we had the inventor of the Koosh ball come in for a chat. I still have his autograph (obtained on a whim) somewhere around here. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
