Lunia - Record of Lunia War (Open Beta)
Yet another Korean MMO, this time with a slight twist! It's a... brawler?
Official English Page To play, you first need to register a GnG (Game&Game) account, then create a Lunia-specific login and password. Then download the game (about 700 MB) and you're good to go. The game is free to play, and will eventually adopt the cash shop setup when it moves into official release. Here are some fansites that might have some useful info: - MyLunia - LuniaFan Character customization is almost nil, since you only have a choice of three characters to start with. There's Sieg (Knight), Dainn (Wizard), and Eir (Healer). Eventually there will be 3 more to choose from, but for now that's all you get. Gameplay is Lunia's defining trait. Instead of point-and-click, you beat monsters up using melee attacks and mixing in the occasional spell. The game keeps track of combos that you do and assigns you a letter grade at the completion of each level. Also unlike other MMOs, there is no large overworld map. Instead, there is one central Square in which you can shop, access storage, get quests or refine equipment. From the Square you and up to 3 additional people can access stages, individually contained maps that function as levels. There are 10 stages per Episode, and currently there are 3 Episodes available. The game is very Final Fight-ish; stages typically have you fight through a slew of enemies then face off against a boss monster. Between stages, you are treated to cheesy Flash animated scenes. Of course, being an MMO, you gain exp by killing monsters and turning in quests. You can also gain nice equipment during stage play by picking up boxes, which can be refined in a Square. Anyway, enough of that. Anyone messing around with this? A few of us do play and we've got a guild set up already if anyone's interested. We're usually found on the US Server, Square 9. Or harass in IRC, #rtfo @ irc.xelium.net Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Wow, actual replies. I didn't think anyone else was actually going to play this thing.
No clue how to solve your issue Manny, but I hope you get it working. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Let me know if you're even vaguely interested in joining a guild where you may possibly know like one or two of the members. Woo!
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
