During peak (WoE) hours the server tends to top off at around ~150 players. During other times, it's anywhere from maybe 50 - 100.

Payon is the main town, more or less, and the place where you're the most likely to find others.

[qupte]With regards to items, im just curious in the prices so I can get an idea where to get my characters going. From what you're saying, i'll probably be living off of clocks or prison1 as a mage for a while to get the elu flowing lol.[/quote]

Because we're a smaller server, some of the mobs might be different than what you're used to (due to a custom eA mob pack). So, you may have to expand your leveling strategies a bit...

Sorry for asking more, what about phen, marc, and vitata cards?
Same as Raydric. You'll have to hunt or trade a looooot of elu for that <_<

Taegeuki's been banned from the thread. POWER ABUSE

Taekwon can be extremely strong, though it depends on a few factors (mostly whether or not you're ranked). Not being able to equip a weapon is kind of offset by the fact that you can endow yourself with whatever element you want. As for second class... Soul Linkers aren't really weapons-based anyway. ;o

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Why do you message me on AIM then post on the forums?

But just in case other people didn't know, the TaeKwon skill 'Warm Wind' can be used to self-endow with one of seven elements (Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, Ghost, Holy, Shadow).

Welcome aboard again, Snow. Mighty curious times you joined us in...

I'm surprised to see so few people actually pay for the game. I mean, it isnt that expensive and seems so much better that pservs... to me at least. =/
My experience right from the start was with a pserver (MobRO because the #icetron people pestered me (THEN QUIT LIKE A WEEK AFTER I STARTED UGH)) so I guess it's just been natural to me. Perhaps if many of my friends played on iRO I would join up, but since most of them just roam with me on whatever private server we choose, I've felt pretty comfortable with that. It's about the people you play with, right?

I'm not too crazy about WoE or PvP either so there's no need for huge server populations for me. Plus, since going on PSIBlade, being made a GM has granted me some curious experiences.

Priest looks like it'd be more of the same slow healbombing, where Monk looks like it'd be crush kill destroy massacre time; choosing is hard. But to that end, I've also stocked up 50k so I can reset myself if I do decide to go Monk, since I've got a few stray points scattered about.
What's a diamond build?

Priest is best if you intend on gathering a party to support/level with. Solo priest is quite manageable as a TU build, but certainly not as FS. ME might be possible, though it will be hard unless you have some decent equipment.

Woah buddy.

Every class has its relative top dog. It's nice that you have a fair amount of enthusiasm for your builds, but I dunno. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss those who are already at the top. They're there for a reason, after all... relative "skill" level aside, they also have the levels and the equipment to support them.

PSIBlade's a bit different from the MobRO of old. But time will tell, eh!

EDIT: I'm going to try (once again) to maintain the character list. I've updated the PSIBlade players out of memory, so everyone else: you'll have to post again or something.

Unless you can find someone else to party with (namely a mage or archer class), your options are fairly limited to the spots you already mentioned.

Well, what can I say... job 50 takes some patience.

The only map I can think of right now is the Yggdrasil Tree, which is located between Umbala and Niflheim, but getting there might not be too easy for an acolyte.

Consider checking a database like roempire (though it's a little out of date at the moment) for maps with a high amount of blue herb spawns.

Also, some monsters (like seals) drop blue herbs quite readily.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I felt it was just worth mentioning that some monsters drop herbs.

I'm not 100% sure I understand you, but: first- and second-class jobs have different bonuses for their 50 job levels. For example, the bonuses an archer receives by going to job 50 are different than the bonuses a Hunter receives for hitting job 50 (the hunter loses their archer job bonus stats the instant they jobchange, and must regain job bonuses as a hunter).

Is that what you mean?

Be advised that more and more servers seem to be using their own custom installation client (PSIBlade, for example). These will not function with kRO/Sakray, so make sure you know which type the server you want to play on uses.

It's a trade off, really. It's easy to play on a lot of different servers if they use the usual kRO/Sakray/hexed client stuff, but it's also a hassle to have to remember to update kRO/Sakray every once in a while. On the othe rhand, patching is typically quite easy for servers that use their own custom client, but it means you have to download a ~1GB file to play. Ah well.

Just a heads up: Registration on PSIBlade has been opened again (website was fixed up) BUT BUT BUT! There is a caveat: client downloads are temporarily disabled until the head administrator can work out some issues with the patcher.

So if you want to play, you can go ahead and register an account. But unless you know someone who can provide you the client, I guess that's a problem.

High rate servers do have their merits, but I prefer to play on those who keep a "normal" level cap, like 99/70 and 99 for stats (so I can test builds). Unfortunately, these are really few and far in between.

Ragnarok II information

Official Website - contains a trailer, some game info, and 3 BGM samples. The site kind of sucks, though (I couldn't open the trailer at all in Firefox) so...

Trailer Link (right-click and save as)

Sample BGM (by Yoko Kanno!!)

I don't have much an opinion on the trailer itself. I'll have to see it in action before making any judgement. The music, though... wow. If anything I'll download the game just for the BGM folder.

Just thought I should mention...

PSIBlade recently opened up a brand new server: Artemis. Rates are 10/10/5.

If you ever wanted to play on a brand new server, here's your chance.

PSIBlade Online

EDIT: PSIBlade has its own client, so you don't need to download kRO/Sakray. PSI client can be downloaded directly from the website.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
