Fedora Core 5
I thought I'd ask you guys since my teacher seems like he doesn't really want to help me with this...
So, I'm taking a Linux/Unix class and our teacher wants us to either install FC5 or use a bootable disc. Well, I have FC5 dual booting on my laptop with Windows Vista. It works just fine except for my wireless connection to my FiOS doesn't work at all. However, if I boot into Vista, it works just fine. That is the only real problem I'm having, I need it to connect wireless to the Internet so I can do my homework, but I can't seem to figure out what I did wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The only time the Internet works on the laptop when FC5 is running is if I actually plug a network cable cord from the router to the laptop. Otherwise, nothing happens. I'm not exactly sure how to run the "iwconfig". See, this is my first time ever messing with FC5. If it helps any, I'm running GNOME on FC5 right now.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Merv, I did that and it didn't work. Said it was an invalid command.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
