Crazy stuff you rocked in school

There's got to be some embarrassing things you've worn to school that looking back now you're glad they didn't catch on. Here's mine:

THE KEYCHAIN BELT ~ For those that remember, I used to collect keychains of anything. I'd make people in my family that went on trips buy me keychains (keep the T-shirts!). While I was in high school, I managed to amass enough of them to make a keychain belt. Nevermind that the thing was heavy, I wore it a few times to school. However, my keychain obsession got so bad that the darn thing was/still is as tall as I am! I had to wrap it around myself a few times. After awhile I got tired and started wearing different keychains on my jeans (through the belt loops). I still have that monster of a keychain belt.

PIERCED EARRINGS IN FINGERNAILS ~ This was probably the stupidest thing I've done in junior high. Because I didn't have my ears pierced (was too scared to do it), I got the bright idea of using a needle to poke a hole into the tops of my long nails and sticking the pierced earrings in them. I did one per hand, usually either my pinky or my thumbs. However, I learned the fast and hard way of how to quickly break off your nails.

BROKEN NECKLACE IN THE HAIR ~ This one was probably the least stupid of all my tricks. This one actually started in junior high. I had a favorite necklace I liked and the clasp broke and fell off. I got the bright idea of stringing two bobby pins on either end and attaching it to the back of my head. People probably thought something was seriously wrong with me, but I didn't pay any attention.

What are/were yours?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I hope you got a picture of yourself rocking it in school. Memories!

I just remembered something else stupid I used to rock in high school for at least two of the four years. There was this oversized Mickey Mouse jacket that was gray, red, blue, and black that I wore everyday until the black blended in with the gray. If my friends were embarrassed, they didn't show it.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

So you actually started a successful fad? Thank goodness none of my stuff caught on. School would've been a hideous place!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh man, I remember those damn pogs. I hated those things because one day in school some random kid came screeching through the hallway and threw a whole bunch of them everywhere. Just about everybody in the hallway was scrambling for them except me.

I've never heard of the wallets and purses made out of duct tape. Did you have one?

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Oh yeah, you know how there's ALWAYS one person who wears sandals even in the dead of winter? Well, I witnessed a corollary to that law, in which someone wore a heavy coat and those boots with fur, despite the fact that it was 75 degrees out.
Yeah, Yama, I agree. It's annoying and uncool to see some people walking around with shorts and sandals on in cold weather. What makes it even worse is when they top it off by wearing a heavy coat. It's like, what's the point? Go all out and look half-crazy instead of making it worse. I never really understood that.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Good grief! They should just go ahead and ADD PANTS to the equation so it at least looks like some form of an outfit!

Amy-Chan ~ I used to do something similiar. I used to rock friendship bracelets after they went out. I would make them while I was in class or at home. I thought I was it when I figured out how to get the fish design in the bracelet.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
