[360] Halo Kitty

I thought beta actually dropped the amount of hype around it. But, now that it's September, I've been hearing about it a lot throughout my university's campus. Mostly, "I' skipping class from Wednesday on" and "This shit is not good for my GPA." I think the biggest hype will come the week after the game comes out, due to the "omg-where-are-you-in-halo-3" or "let's do slayer with the guys after you finish class" talk going everywhere, especially with the frat guys.

Maybe that's just the atmosphere around my area though.

I am noticing the hype around CoD4 though. Mostly because people didn't know the Call of Duty series was even out there. Learning about something new definitely makes it more "hypeworthy" because it makes you seem neat and original and that sort of shit.

People have been waiting for TF2 for years though. It's kind of like Duke Nukem Forever. That hype goes in cycles.

The AR is pretty much a great weapon to start out with. A full clip can take someone down and at worst, you can knock out their shields and use nades or hope you're close for that beatdown. I mean, it's a lot better than pistol/health whoring in Halo 1.

Has anyone noticed the matchmaking is a bit fucked up? I was playing on my friend's account and he's a Sarge Grade 2. People join and it ends up being like three Majors, one Commander, and mostly Lieutenants on one team and me and Privates on the other team. And of course we get pwned, because the three majors are clanmates/friends and the commander is just plain good.

Shotty Sniper is more fun in social. It really sucks for ranked, because everyone's hoping for luck to be on their side. One of my suitemates has a pretty hot hand with a no-scoped sniper rifle, but he practices with it a lot, so I guess that's kind of an exception.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
