To clear up any confusion, I'll explain, since I just got accepted to the Gmail Hosted beta.
Its pretty simple. Google does host the mail, you just reroute the MX DNS stuff to them and the mail gets sent there instead of to the GFF server. Therefore, when GFF crashes, GFmail will not crash, unless if the domain expires. They give you 2GB per account, and 25 accounts for the "Free" license. There is no option to upgrade as far as I know right now. Therefore actually giving GFF members a mail account is out of the question. In fact, the pricing would probably be way too high, so maybe bobo will have it so donators get email accounts? (sup chocosponsor goin' to cancun). I'm happy to have my Gmail Hosted @ani-6.com account and with it, you can also login to Google Talk. Its pretty neat. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
