Correct me if I'm wrong. Got it from the other Wii thread.
I don't think that's a live stream, that will just show the conference once it's over.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

However, I won't be happy if those 50 dollars over the $200 sweet spot are for packing in Wii Sports. That's ridiculous. You shouldn't have to pay more than 10 dollars for that via a Virtual Console download if at all. 5 overblown mini games do not equal 50 dollars.
Why not? An overblown mini-game is a game. Using your logic sold seperately they should cost $2 each. That's 15 Wii Sports games equalling the price of one GBA game. You can't seriously believe they are worth that much.

Quote:
The current deal is in my opinion worth $200. You're getting the same thing you got at their last console launch minus a packed in bunch of mini games to help demonstrate the controller.
Whether you like Wii Sports or not, it is a game. Games are sold for $50. You can't call it whatever you want just to suit your whiny arguments, it's juvenile. This is all it comes down to, peoples opinion of Wii Sports, i'm going to greatly enjoy having this game forced on jaded people who have completely forgotten what gaming is all about.

Don't like the price? Don't buy it and shut up. Still gonna buy it anyway? Then obviously it DOES hold that much value to you so they priced it perfectly.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

An advantage would be that you'll know the weather of the game all the time, so if it's raining you can say "oh cool, better quickly pop in Animal Crossing to catch that fish".

How ya doing, buddy?

Rayman is my most wanted game besides Big Damn Trucks, there's just so much style and humour in it. It can't NOT be fun. I would prefer a new platformer if Rayman 3 wasn't so mediocre.

The game is being ported to the other systems replacing the remote with an onscreen cursor, but I don't think they've really put much thought into that yet.

I'll probably still buy it, cause i'm such a RE whore.
Hmm why would they do that if RE5 isn't coming to Wii?

Can't wait for Rayman, it's gonna be hilarious.

The Play History is another new feature offered by the Wii, and refers to the console's ability to keep track of, obviously, what games have been played and for how long. Originally, Iwata himself pitched the "Outlandish suggestion" of offering parents the option of setting the console to automatically turn off after a set amount of time, but technically, the idea was not feasible.

Instead, the Play History was birthed, and the data collected is unable to be deleted and can be viewed by parents. More excitingly, "It's just really fun for users to be able to see the record of how long they played," said Iwata. "In the future, we could make it possible to plot on a graph how much you've played. Also, with users' cooperation, we could compile data on which game was the most played that year."
Neat new Wii feature! I've been wanting something like this for a while.

Now to get enough money for the Wii.........

It's interesting looking at that to imagine which titles would stand out most on the shelf, looks like Red Steel to me. Happy Feet also has a cool box.

Pre-order at Toys R Us to get a free game is the best price.

Not sure how it works in America, but if the Australian Toys R Us stores are anything to go by then they'll have heaps of Wiis there. Each TRU store has about 100 pre-orders here (one has 198) and they claim they can fulfill all of them at launch day.

Monkey Ball is my #1 launch game too, after Excite Truck vanished.

Yep, apologies for the confusion. Apparently TRU are still discussing the deal and going through all their options. With all the public outcry over Open Season hopefully they give us something at least playable.

I hope they haven't changed at all, then i'd have to keep my Cube out to play them properly. All i've heard is that the loading times have been decreased by 4-6 seconds in some GC games when played on Wii.

Depends how good they are, everyone called Smash Bros a spinoff fill-in title. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Mario Smash Football uses the Wii controls, considering the basic game has already been made the controls are what they would be spending the most time working on now.
