HOWEVER, what the fuck do these Demon's (Gargoyles, whatever) have to do with anything? Unless they're apart of a dream sequence from the first game that I never saw, I'm completely confused; looked as if they're apart of the actual plot and not just a dream sequence judging by how many times I saw them in the trailer.
It seems pretty evident to me that they're part of Max's hallucinations. The first game had the old inner circle crone trying to OD max on Valkyr, so I'm sure something like that will come up in the movie. From a script standpoint it's almost too perfect to throw out in the movie version. She attempts to kill him with the same thing that killed his family, but instead of killing him, it adds fuel to the fire.

I'm really interested in seeing how it turns out. The trailer has me hopeful that it will be the first video game movie that actually makes an impact in the industry.

And I was skeptical about Mark Wahlberg at first, but seeing him in movies like We Own the Night has given me some optmism.

My only hope, really, is that they keep the same mood in the soundtrack that they have in the trailer. A barebones distorted guitar soundtrack a la Godspeed You! Black Emperor would be heaven.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well, it's a lot easier to get a film done when you go with a consistent mood. Telling the whole crew that they're filming a movie one way, but the audience is supposed to think about it in another way, is kind of a practical nightmare. I can see why they went all serious with the movie version.

And Shin, I think everyone is more or less on board with the idea of a Max Payne movie, just as long as it doesn't try to make it into Constantine 2.

On another note, MAX PAYNE: PAYNE & REDEMPTION - THE INDEPENDENT FILM .
This was going to be the indie Max Payne sequel, but apparently Fox told them to piss off like they do with all dastardly infringers on their products. The guy has decided he's still making it, but he won't be allowed to call Max Payne "Max Payne," for all the difference that will make.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
