For an extra $120 off on top of the $45 in credit I already have, I'd say my time to own a PS3 has come.
Hopefully they'll make this an annual thing, which will make at least one time out of the year when their deals don't suck ass. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

$100 for trading in a PS2 with 2 controllers and memory card (this one's been going on for a while), plus extra 20 for trading in used hardware posted there. I have a spare memory card and a third controller, so it works out for me, but not everyone might feel like parting with that much hardware.

So it turns out the deal gamestop had going on for a while (trade in a PS2 with 2 controllers and memory card, get $100 off a PS3) went off just as they began this sale. I should have known they wouldn't give someone $120 off a PS3.
In any event, I picked one up, along with Resistance. So far I'm somewhat underwhelmed, but my PS2 was dying, and I figured my system would only drop in trade-in value if I waited any longer. (It was only $30 credit before the extra $20.) This way I know at least I can play all my old games and DVDs. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
