What is with the popularity of sandals and flip-flops?

I used to think the same-- that it was kinda pointless to wear sandals if you're not going to the beach or something, especially because I always thought socks + shoes were more comfortable. Recently, though, I've taken to wearing them a lot more often, just because they're easy to put on and take off.

So if I'm in a hurry, or if I'm only going to be gone from the house for a little bit, then I'll wear them instead of socks and sneakers.

So basically, it's a laziness thing~
