I shower when I'm needed: uni, outings and the like. Otherwise I only shower when my filth becomes uncomfortable to stand, eg. itchy scalp from lack of shampoo. Showering twice a day is nothing short of appalling waste, especially in Aus. Even once a day's a tad rich, on occasion. You can go a single day without bathing and not stink at all.
An uncle of mine introduced me to the Asian Shower this Christmas, whereby you only turn on the water to wet and rinse yourself, reducing your usage to about 40 seconds. He's a practising Buddhist and scientist, so resource conservation's naturally on the sleeve. Jam it back in, in the dark.
