Actually, Resident Evil was probably up there in terms of adaptations. Yeah, it's a dumb movie, but then again, the game had a pretty lame and generic story, too. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
In that sense, the Silent Hill movie worked pretty well. I think the most disappointing for me was Doom. For an adaptation of a FPS game, there sure wasn't a lot of monsters to shoot at. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
