Interesting, more and more popular composers are attending each PLAY! concert; at this rate, I certainly wouldn't be too surprised having some other composers like Hamauzu or Sakuraba come in.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I was also at the Chicago concert, and Akira Yamaoka himself played on the guitars and did an awesome rendition of Theme of Laura, with backing instruments by the orchestra; very good stuff.
Unfortunately, my hotel was far away, so I couldn't stay to hear the second showing of One-Winged Angel (it was eleven by then), but the first time around was already great. Liberi Fatali was practically perfect, though. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Yes, I sure hope so, too. Otherwise, I'll just have to attend the concert again, even though it isn't exactly close to where I live.
It'll be interesting to see what they'll play from the game, as well as how they'll arrange the music from the game. ...and we can't forget Sakimoto's arrangements for the concert; Vagrant Story would be a blast. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
