BeatmaniaUS is gonna be one hell of a mix. The Shining Polaris, Holic, The Cube, among other worthwhile songs all on one introductory mix? Cheap controllers for easy 14keys play on any style?

Yes please.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I picked up a crappy Radio Shack one, it has some kinda minimum delay on the keys which gets annoying in the faster songs. I just ordered a better one from Play-Asia though, so I'll see if that one works better.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yes. More Hirata Filter House T___T It solves world hunger and violence, you know.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Are you kidding? The songlist is great, I can't wait to play it since it has so many of my favorite songs on it.

Summer Vacation, The Cube, Holic on a single mix. Very yes.

It could also be a mix of familiarity. If you see a song you liked on DDR on the Beatmania songlist, you'd probably want to play it. I know that's how I originally got into IIDX.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Not a single Gamestop or EB or any other game store around here had it, I called and checked. Looks like I'll be trying today to see if they have it.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

That's an unfair comparison. While DDR and Beatmania are both in the genre of music games, the actual gameplay concepts behind the games are drastically different. It's like experiencing something in a whole new way as opposed to the old way.

Instead of dancing to The Cube, you're playing it.

Of course it isn't. Haven't we established long ago that this title is geared towards newer players? IIDX 10th Style is amazing. I don't even touch any previous style anymore except 8th on the rare occasion. However, if you dropped 10th style in front of a newer player they'd be overwhelmed. There's such a difficulty gap between songs that it'd scare off the newer players.

If this sells well, there will be more games, and they will begin to cater to the advancing players with more difficult songs and charts.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I think you misunderstood the connotation of "overwhelmed." It CAN be a bad thing.

I used to fail 1* songs on Light7 (Normal) when I was first getting into the game. I didn't get a chance to use a training mode or anything, because I learned on an 8th Style arcade machine that was sorta close to my house. I just kept practicing on that each time I went for a few months, and 3 months later I bought the PS2 version of 8th Style. I spent a couple of hours playing each time I did, but I didn't get a chance to play every day.

Now I can pass most 8*s on 10th Style, and judging by Happy Sky's difficulty system, I think I can pass two 11*s. I've been playing for a little over a year and a half.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
