I just picked up Wild Arms 5 (Last and/or only copy at that Gamestop), and suddenly a surprise 80 page series art book out of nowhere. I had no idea they bundled extras with it, so that was a very nice surprise.
I haven't gotten a chance to play yet, though, since one of my roommates picked up Dynasty Warriors: Gundam and will be monopolizing the TV with that for quite some time. Edit: Got a chance to hijack the TV and play through the intro. Extremely satisfied thus far with the game. There's no japanese voice track, so purists are out of luck, but I find the english voices very fitting. Dean's voiced by Yuri Lowenthal (Arnaud from WA4, Luke from Tales of the Abyss) and Rebecca by Wendee Lee (Raquel from WA4, countless other roles). My only gripes so far are that the battles feel a bit slower than WA4's due to the game positioning attacking characters at the edge of the hex they're attacking from before playing the attack animations. Also it seems to take a bit longer to load than WA4 in terms of transferring from the field screen to the battle screen. I also found Jude's "Juuump!" voice in WA4 hilarious, and Dean doesn't have his own "Juuump!" to speak of ![]() Minor gripes of an otherwise extremely fun game. Edit2: Also confirming that Justice to Believe remains in Japanese. I didn't think they'd let the localization team grab an English vocalist after paying big bucks for an out-of-house performer like Nana Mizuki. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]()

I laughed forever. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Yeah, they couldn't think of more awkward terminology to use. I was playing with a bunch of friends around when I got to the first one, we all had a good laugh. Probably freaked everyone out in the next apartment over, too.
In other news, I just got to the point where Greg joined me party. I don't think he'll ever leave the battlefield. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
Returning to this game after Eternal Sonata, I've run into a bit of a problem. I've just gotten to the point where I need to get take care of the TF Towers, but the boss of the earth one continually kicks my ass. His instant death/5000 Damage (instant death regardless to my party) attack annoys the crap out of me, and since he uses Stone Bullet I can't put Avril on a wind hex to out damage his heals.
My party is around level 52, am I underleved for this point? I never ran from any fights and hadn't had any major trouble on a boss fight up until this point. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
Spoiler:
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]()

I switched out his medium for a Sword Medium and that did the trick. Now Dean is doing some real damage as opposed to just relying on Avril's casting (She's a healer now) to do the majority of the damage. I beat the G Tower and the subsequent 1 on 1 fight without any trouble, and the 1 on 1 fight in the M Tower only took me two tries (The damn boss crit me when she had just a sliver of health left and I died ;_; )
I've run out of Duplicators, though, and I've found a TON of Duplicator chests. I've gotta find out where I haven't gotten any from yet. FELIPE NO ![]() |
I've actually taken a liking to using Chuck, he may replace Rebecca since even with all of her stats focused in attack he still outdamages her. Not to mention Chuck and Dean's combo move does a nice chunk of damage, too.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
