The easiest map by far is the terminal in Dead Air. I got almost 14 minutes on that thing.
As far as the pack goes, I'm slightly disappointed that the SDK didn't come out with it. I know that there are a ton of user-made campaigns just waiting to get the scripting ability for hordes and climax events, so once that rolls around there will be no shortage of new maps to play on. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
I think the top of the lighthouse is a horrible place because of how the game can mix up the 4 specialists it spawns at once. It's very possible for you to get 2 or even 3 smokers at a time, and if two people get smokered off the top of the lighthouse it all goes to hell rather quickly.
The room with the broken staircase I've found to be the best for that map, though I don't care for the map itself. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Some of the mixes are pretty genius.
I was just in a round where one person got smokered away, and before we could even turn to shoot the smoker or melee him out of it three hunters pounced the rest of us at the exact same moment. Brilliant. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
Also fun is using the corner glitch on Last Stand to instantly kill yourself. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
Tank play is simple:
1. Never throw rocks. Ever. 2. Go for the survivor who is not green. 3. Once you incap someone, move onto the next. That's really all there is to it. Environmental things are situational like ledges to punch people off or cars to punch at people. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
I dunno how fast people move about on the 360 version, but picking up a rock as a tank on the PC version is an invitation for everyone to run up and unload all of their ammo into you.
Twice. it's also frustrating when all the survivors are in green health C'MON TEAM WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING ;_; What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
Valve hates consoles, but I doubt they'd take it out on the players.
I'm wondering what they mean by "a recharge timer for infected teammates." It's already boring enough playing as an infected when you get offed and have to wait ~20 seconds to respawn, so having to wait even longer might really suck. Unless they let us play as normal infected in the meantime. FELIPE NO ![]() |
Nice demo. When's the new campaign coming out?
Enjoy paying for that, 360 players. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
Sounds pretty neat. Looks like I'll still have a reason to boot up L4D1 even after 2 rolls around.
I just grabbed the pre-order for it on Steam today, along with Borderlands, since those two are the games that I'm looking forward to most in the next two months. Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
For the next 20 hours (That's until 11 AM EST tomorrow), Left 4 Dead 2 is on sale as part of Valve's thanksgiving weekend deals. A copy will run you $37.49, that's as much as a normal 4-pack priced copy. If you manage to find three other bros to chip in today, you can get a 4-pack for just over $28 per person (That's $112.49 for the pack).
Alternatively, you can get the Valve pack for $100 if you've been living under a rock. It has pretty much all of their released games to date, including L4D2. A great price if you've missed out on some of the best PC FPS titles. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
