Yeah, we'll see what's up once we actually have our top players back in the line up. Say hi to Ray Emery for me.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'll be on my couch, chanting along in spirit.

And think if we actually capitalized on all the chances we had. =)

Great game. Can't wait for another one like it tomorrow.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You can keep trying to bait me, Deni, but I'm too busy riding this Pens high to even bother!

That being said, I'm kicking your god damn ass this year. Don't play.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

If that goal is the difference, I'm going to be fuming.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

It's too bad we can't go back to the old days when we could hear the great National Hockey Night theme every week, but what they really need to bring back to hockey is where the puck was lighted blue and when it was shot, it turned red with a trail behind it. It might have been annoying to some, but it was freakin awesome to me.
Because the NHL should be taking cues from NHL Hitz.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Saying it right now: Marian Hossa will be a Penguin again next season. The way he played in the postseason (especially to keep playing in the dying seconds tonight...imagine if he scored there? Penguins god for life~) was very impressive.
It's a shame the number of zeros such a performance demands in the open market. With all of the players the Penguins will be trying to hold on to, fitting Hossa in will be a difficult task. The only way I can see him sticking around is if the two parties work out a discounted one year deal, so both have another shot at the Cup.

But, before I get ahead of myself with off-season chatter, I just wanted to say congratulations to the Wings for winning the Cup this year, and thank you to the Penguins for fostering such a wealth of exciting, young talent in my own back yard. I've been a fan of hockey my entire life, but up until this year I've only known limited playoff success. The two championships the Penguins won consecutively in the early nineties were a wee bit to early for me to consciously appreciate, so seeing them even get this far is a real thrill.

You can complain about the bandwagon fans all you want, but if it wasn't for all of them jumping on board in the last couple years, we'd be without a team right now. With the first wave of excitement coming to a gradual recession, the true fans will be the ones to stick around, and with the roster of young talent the Penguins have it should be an interesting next several years.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
