I like the handheld camera view. It makes it all look real. I know if I saw an actual video of some giant fucking monster tearing up a city, I'd be scared shitless. If the whole movie is like this, I bet it's gonna be awesome. I'm willing to forget Blair Witch and give it a chance.

According to my cousin, a lot of people think that it might be a Voltron movie. Apparently they get that from a line in the trailer right before the Statue of Liberty's head is thrown; a guy shouting "It's a lion! It's moving!"
He also pointed out how the destruction is very reminiscent of Lavos. Huge dome-shaped explosion, fireballs falling from the sky, etc. He doesn't think it's a Chrono Trigger movie, of course, but he thought it was kinda funny. There's nowhere I can't reach.

This movie looks like it's gonna be the shit. It great to see that the whole thing is indeed filmed amateur-style and it wasn't just the trailer. It really makes it all seem real. With this and Dark Knight right around the corner, 2008's shaping up to be a great year for movies.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
