You do close your eyes, right?
I'm serious! When I was a little kid, there was a period in which I couldn't get myself to sleep. I couldn't figure out why, so one night asked my Mom how to fall asleep. She was pretty much answering me in her sleep, and I noticed her eyes were closed. So, I asked if closing your eyes helps you fall asleep, and she said,"yeah". Tried it and it has worked ever since!
