Shadow Hearts 3 was good in gameplay. Graphics were pretty good and had decent music (the opening song still gets me every time i hear it).
The thing is that Shadow Harts games are pretty dark (including Koudelka), and in the last one they gave it another aproach. Full of colours, vivid places, cute cute cute characters (ok, Anastasia in Covenant was cute, but that was it) like Hildegard, Frank Goldfinger and Mao, etc. and gave the game another perspective and feeling (IMO at least). Shania's still very hot though...
Like i said, it's not a bad game gameplaywise, but FF-X2 wasn't either.
And just let's face it, Shadow Hearts without Yuri (which is one of the greatest characters I've ever seen) makes the story less interesting.
You MUST play the first two games though, if you are a fan of RPGs. I must admit that the first one didn't get me till amost the end of the game, but it made the experience of the second one MUCH more worth it. And, just for the record, it was one of the few games that actually made me cry. The story and character development is outstanding.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
