Who reads EGM for serious game reviews nowdays anyway? They might as well change the name to "Videogame Advertisements Monthly", or VAM.
As far as integrity in Videogame Journalism would go, you might as well have to start up an entire new magazine / web-site and SPECIFICALLY MARKET IT as UNBIASED and IMPARTIAL. Hammer down the fact that your reviews are NOT influenced by Advertisement dollars, nor by exclusive deals with any publisher or developer. Of course the hard part is getting the bigger companies to review your product before it comes out. Jam it back in, in the dark.
