While the Xbox 360 controllers do seem to attract dirt easily, the DS's glossy finish seems to stave off smudges to a greater degree. I have a white DS and its been working fine. Any smudges or signs of dirt that appear are easily cleaned off on either one

Jam it back in, in the dark.
