[Anime] Death Note

I just started reading this series (Up to Chapter 31-32) and I love it. Its quite different and seems to break the mold of how Manga situations go, and I just can't get enough... The DN movies... will they be in english at some point, or will I have to steal/import the sub version off the interbutt?

One thing: Is L's name ("L") ever revealed to have meaning, or was it just chosen at random or something?

According to a few in depth readers, they found a few names that would start with L. They think its Luke, Lazarus, Lucas, Leon..etc. Who knows really.

Right... it would make more sense for a top level investigator like L to just pick a random name with no meaning, as it cannot be used against him or something.

Cool. I'm sure that A subbing group will attach itself at some point, but you never know for sure (Paraoind I guess I was).
Now I'll just have to see if they make an english adaption after the two movies come out.

And sctually if they do the movise right, someone can sit down and watch it with no prior experience of reading the manga. Meaning they could release the movies here in the US, as something like Death Note: Beginning and Death Note: Conclusion or whatever. Sort of like how they did for Kill Bill (Part 1, Part 2).

They could even bill it as a "Detective Horror Movie"

The game looks pretty similar to the first JUMP game in terms of gameplay, but I can't tell due to the BLACKANDWHITESCAN. Seriously what person or magazine scans in B&W or has a magazine in B&W.

I'm calling FAKE/RUMOUR-BASED-ARTICLE on this until more proof is uncovered.

As far as the movie goes, there is one fansub group that are workin on the movie. They are just not as good as the ones we know.

Alright. My suspicions came up when I saw that horrible, eye-raping b&w scan that seemed like it was taken from a bootleg Hong Kong off-market magazine or something... Now I wonder: What will L and Light's special attacks be?

I wouldn't complain if they had a different ending actually, but otherwise yeah: the manga is filled up and done so the anime will be using it for the template/guide/etc.,.

Has episode 4 or beyond been in subs yet? ...or am I being impatient? I know they broadcast in japan on Wednesdays, so maybe they put out one or two.
