Ok, I had a small encounter of that sort.
Midway through FFXII, I was searching for a mark, the guy specifically said (and it was in yellow to showcase its importance) that the mark (The beast) was to be found in the Highlands of an area, but upon inspecting a FAQ, it was actually at the bottom-most portion of the area  Jam it back in, in the dark.
