I ordered/reserved the movie at a Suncoast in the mall next to my school, the entire thing should cost $20, which means it won't be the Limited Edition... but I'm ok with that.
They said mid to late April (26th probably) for getting the movie. Jam it back in, in the dark.
|
Well, I paid the last of the 20 bucks on the movie at my local mall suncoast store, so now I just gotta wait for the movie to arrive. I heard its already available in some places, but 5-6 days ain't nothin to stress over.
I'll post a review of the dub when I get it, obviously after watching it a few times ![]() There's nowhere I can't reach.
|
Well I just watched the english dub. My impressions (SPOILERS ABOUND K?)
Spoiler:
Now as far as the DVD itself goes: They overdid it on the trailers for the movie, and the 'Reminiscense' was lacking in content. I liked the Making of featurette though. A shame they didn't interview the english vocal actors. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Spoiler:
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
|
Spoiler:
I'm going through the movie getting screencaps of even more stuff I missed, so look for that soon. It helps that the DVD can play in fullscreen, and allows me to see more 'hidden' stuff ![]() How ya doing, buddy?
|
Anyway, Take a look: Spoiler:
I might have more later, but have fun with these for now ![]() What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I'm not sure Gackt is very popular here in America, but maybe they'll keep him in since
Spoiler:
So when does Dirge of Cerberus hit US Shores? FELIPE NO
|
Too bad it wasn't short for "Gangsta"
![]() Its not though. Spoiler:
Since Zack is actually in SOLDIER (The Elite Squad, not the member), maybe we'll finally see where it is they're trained. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I know what would sell like hotcakes: A mini-replica of Pre-Meteor-Attacked Midgar, as a giant like, Display. They could even add working lights and smoke coming out of the reactors XD
Actually though, If I did purchase ANY FF Merchandise, I'd like to get either Squall's Neckalce or Tidus's. Are there any US Online Stores that sell them? I wouldn't want to lose an arm and a leg in shipping fees If I did buy one ![]() Most amazing jew boots

However, I do understand that the fans HAVE asked for this for some time, and Square Enix is simply responding to fan demand. Tetsuya Nomura was right: FFVII is a Pandora's Box. Now the box has been fully opened. Most amazing jew boots

Southjag echoes my feelings about the sales: Yeah, I could have easily not bothered to buy it, but I enjoyed the movie and wanted a (legal) copy I could call my own.
I want to see this happen: A. Make the damm remake and have it be the last 'project' for the Compilation (Aside from the hinted 'ending' title for the entire series) OR B. Not make the remake, but Tie up the entire story in a RPG Sequel, a FFVII-2 PROPER (Yes DoC was a PS2 Sequel of sorts, but it was more like a Side-Story that happened to take place AFTER the main story-line, instead of during it as most Gaiden Games do). Or more likely, a combination of both: Fix/EXPAND the story in the remake and then have the final title wrap up stuff as an RPG title. Its obvious that they're gonna try milk this for a lot, maybe for all its worth, so might as well go out with having the series bone dry. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

![]() Yes the book is awesome. Too bad its the pure japanese version which means any interviews are unreadable =o I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Also, from Wikipedia:
I think they were a bit unfair in the wikipedia entry, because Dirge of Cerberus is in a sort-of unique position: Take the fact that all the previous media entries in the series have been RPGs or Film/Animated, whereas DoC is a Third Person Shooter. Its hard to do a Storyline series and change the genre (So it would be like having Xenosaga 1 being a RTS, where Xenosaga 2 was a FPS, but with all the story still there) without making everything shit. In that regards Squarenix did an geat job because it largely stays an interesting game, despite the genre shift. That may have influenced the score of the game, as they might have considered the story, and GAMEPLAY elements that transitioned to a Third Person FPS (Like the Use of Materia in battle), and how well they did in regards to that. Taking that and comparing the game itself against other Third Person FPSs (Max Payne for example) you would then being evaluating the game. The most important part, and one that often goes unnoticed it seems these days, is that while Reviews/Scores and all of that are a good way to get a general impression of the overall funfactor of a game, its all about what you think once you play it. You don't need to rely on a Gamespot score to know that Super Mario 3 is a well honed example of the Side Scroller Genre, but a lot of games out there are not so simple in seeing if they are great to play or not, and in this respect I can see the use of Game Scores. Anyway... Does anyone know the release dates for Crisis Core, and the PS2 Port as well? What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
|
I just saw one of the phones that MIGHT be able to play Before Crisis today on the bus, the swivel kind I mean.
The thing is: Japan is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the rest of the world in terms of general technology, and specifically Cellphones. So while we're just NOW getting streaming video (Over Verizon's V-Cast) for the 3G Spectrum, its the same kind of network that DoCoMo Corp. uses for moble phone games, such as Crisis Core, as well as the DoC 'Lost Episode'. The More You Know. How ya doing, buddy?

NICE trailer. Can someone do a rough translation if at all possible?
*Awaits "Zack's Theme", as a rival to "Cloud's Theme" (aka World Map)*
Or who knows, with the new characters, maybe they'll retroactively throw in a couple new summons (As they did with Bahamut 4 in AC).
Needs more Rufus ![]() What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
|
Anyone wanna attempt extracting the Remix of the Starting Mission, or am I asking for too much here? Most amazing jew boots

I like how the sword in Hantei's post above is mislabeled. It was supposed to be called the "Tsrugi" or something like that? This is the buster sword, by the way:
I know its likely not of much difference when you get right down to it, but I like things to be accurate if you're going to have them all displayed up nice like that. Of course, If I am wrong and the English translation IS "Buster Sword", then never mind! ^^;; Also in other news, (If it hasn't been posted already), A few bits of info about Crisis Core, taken from http://www.adventchildren.net/
Spoiler:
And finally, some gameplay & general game information: Spoiler:
There's nowhere I can't reach.

1. Deny rumors of remake, piss off customers 2. Secretly make Remake 3. Release info that ReMake is being made, customers doubly happy again. 4. ???? 5. Massive Profit Then again, maybe even SE knows that a cow can only be milked so much. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh and I'm sure you know about this: AC: Advent Children BC: Before Crisis CC: Crisis Core DC: Dirge of Cerberus EC: Endless Crisis So, FC: Final Crisis (?) How ya doing, buddy?
