Lego Indiana Jones - He no nuts, he's crazy!

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/808/808855p1.html

July 27, 2007 - After nearly an hour of Star Wars news from LucasFilm's Steve Sansweet, the director of content management told the enormous San Diego Comic-Con gathering that he had forgotten one thing, and the Indiana Jones theme hit.

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Video Game is coming to a videogame system near you.

Yes, LucasArts is teaming with TT games once again to put a plastic spin on a familiar franchise. The title will give gamers the chance to play through the first three Indy flicks with the plastic pieces and blocks they know and love.

Sansweet showed a brief trailer that featured a number of the franchise's favorite scenes redone in LEGO vision. The opening scene said "South America 1936" and showed Indy marching a group through the tall grass. Two natives shot darts at our hero -- however, the darts miss Indy and whack the opposite shooters.

From there we got some brief gameplay moments of Indy leaping around and swinging with his whip, firing off his gun and running from a LEGO boulder chasing him down a hallway.

At the end, the words onscreen announced that you could expect the game summer 2008, but it didn't mention platforms.

OMG yes! I had wondered if this was was going to get made some time ago. This is going to be very interesting to say the least. There's a teaser trailer up for it on IGN as well for download.

It seems that IGN is having problems with it's downloadables. Ah well, the game should still be fun since it's the same format as Lego Star Wars.

Gametrailers seems to be the place to see it for now.

It really looks good.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Hasn't been much info on this for some time, but yesterday IGN updated with a big preview:

IGN: LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures Preview

Game is slated to come out June 3rd. This'll give me something to do while waiting for MGS 4. <3

I'm so waiting for Lego Batman. I hope the franchise takes off and more games pop up in the Lego series soon after.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Got this little gem in Tuesday. Almost can't put it down. I don't know why but it seems I'm getting more behind this than I was Lego Star Wars... maybe it might be I like Indiana Jones a bit more. *shrug* Anyways, there's 6 parts to each chapter(movie) and it follows pretty closely. I mean sure, there's no face melting or head exploding at the end of the Raiders chapter like there was in the movie, but for the most part the scenes were done really well.

I'm having the same frustrations that the reviewers did, with the respawning enemies and all that. I'm finding myself dying a lot, but it's usually around the boss battles than from regular mobs. I think the cool thing about it, is that there are phobias for some of the characters. Like when Indy and Sallah go down into the Well of Secrets, there are all those asps down there and if Indy gets close to them, he'll turn away and put his hands in his face shaking in fear. So you'll have to use Sallah (or whoever else you have during free play) to clear the way for Indy.

The game isn't overly difficult, but it just has frustrating moments, given the act you'll probably die a few times before you figure out what to do. It also seems a bit easier to obtain True Adventurer status in each level than it was to get Jedi Master in LSW. I really dig the game and even though I just started the Temple of Doom part, I'm sure it'll have tons of replay value. It is a nice filler while waiting for MGS 4 to come in next week.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Nah I only have 1 PS3 controller, but I'm sure co-op is probably less frustrating than single player.

I also like the little extra details they put in the game. Like if Indy throws his whip out at Marion, Ilsa or Willie, sometimes he'll whip them close and give em a big ol kiss. It's the little things like that that make it a bit more fun.

oh btw there's also a nifty preview of Lego Batman on there too. It looks as if they mixed the old Batman series along with the animated series (Bruce Timm's animation style) If it has Danny Elfman's score then I'm sold on that shit so hard.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I'm not 100% certain if it is his actual style, but that's what I gathered from the few times I saw Harley Quinne and a couple of other characters. It did definitely have the feel of mixing old with new. If I had the expensive equipment to rip blu-ray I'd rip that video

Lego Batman Trailer

This looks to be the one that is included with LIJ. Judge for yourself if it has a feel like the animated series. :|

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
