If this d00d is going to be a tank, best bet is to stay Fury/arms (for the most part) until you hit about level 50-ish. Put a few in protection here and there to have some tanking abilities. When you hit about 50 (I waited till 60, but then again I'm stubborn and was forced into Protection heh), You want to get the essential protection elements. I have 37 in Protection, with 14 in Arms. This enables me to deal a nice amount of damage. 14/0/37

I can hit for about 200-ish in defensive stance with that at times, while my crits can get to be about 400+ (I've managed a 600+ crit Heroic Strike while also having about 400+ crit with Shield Bash) One thing about a tank though, it is hard to solo stuff, but only if you try to be tough and solo like 3-4 60s at once. (this becomes not as much a problem when you have really good gear, but I'm just a n00b in a mix of Valor and might. )

Toughness is a must (as it adds to your armor value) and imp sheild bash helps against the fights where mobs/bosses do heals. (Although imo, it needs a quicker cooldown to match the interrupt time, but that's just me. :\)

Your main bet however, is to try to get Shield Slam and stay away from some of the more retarded Protection abilities. (lol imp. disarm)

Just put points in Fury/Arms heh. Some people go for the Mortal Strike build. (It was cool, helped me kill shit in Tyr's Hand easily when I had it.)

That's a pretty cool build, Six, but this one hasn't really failed me yet and I've been specced this way an entire year. I FEAR CHANGE!

Tanked Mag on Friday. My second attempt. (Healers aren't on the ball as much as they could have been the first) After 2 wipes (One due to healing, another due to the timer being off and CT_Raid didn't call out the fear warning) we tried a 3rd time. Flawless execution. Haven't seen might lately. On either run, actually. :\

Non-Disclosure Agreement. Anyone who was in the F&F Alpha had to agree to one that they wouldn't disclose/release any information seen in the Alpha. Now that Beta is open (albeit being actually closed to those not invited ) People are allowed to discuss what they've seen in the alpha and beta now without consequence from Blizzard :P

And I guess they're being a bitch because they're disabling the Decursive mod and any mod like that and CT_Raid for the expansion. They're adding a mass dispell er.. spell in that will be as of use like Decursive.

Actually all of this cracks me up. There are people that gloat that the blues are better than T2/AQ40/Naxx gear like somhow magically it's going to fall into their hands first. Then there are the loot-whore raiders (the raiders who value loot over everything else) flipping out because the gear that early is better. Most of the people who are part those two categories are morons anyway.

I know the shit's going to be hard and take work and dedication. But I'm sure that places like Karazhan and the rest aren't like Molten Snore.

Plus the hardcore raiders are going to be getting geared in the special 70 hard mode gear first. Can't wait for the crying to begin from the lazy-asses who want everything handed to them. "ZOMG THEY GET LEVEL 70 HARD GEAR AND IT'S KILLING ME IN PVP"

It's not like people are going to get gear better than Naxx as soon as they load the expansion. From reports of people playing Beta, they're saying about level 65-ish is when gear starts dropping in places that equal to T2. Karazhan and beyond (level 70 instances) are the ones that start dropping the gear that equal's Naxx and goes a little beyond.

Yes, it does suck that people put time and effort and stuff will start to fall that's better, eventually and that it won't be outdated for some time into the exp. By the time most people start getting the greens and blues that are equal to T1, there will be those that will be well into the T2 compatible gear.

Before people start getting on my ass I don't know what I'm talking about, I've spent the better part of 2-3 months now in a successful guild alliance running MC, and have put my time and effort in RE-LEARNING the fucking place for a 3rd time as a tank and first time as a main healer. :P So I've worked hard for what I don't have. heh But I know what it's like to earn stuff, I just haven't put the same amount of time as some of those complaining, but I've put in my own time, nonetheless.

I doubt Thunderfury won't be "easily replaced" until Black Citadel anyway. I think people should be proud that they were able to get the stuff before the expansion, instead of treating it as wasted time. :\

From what I've seen people describe in that thread, Caverns of Time seems to be pretty good. 3 seperate instances, kinda like how SM is seperated into 4 instances I guess.

They start falling in Karazhan, but will be kinda like Dungeon set 1 and fall in multiple instances. (I'm going by an Tseric post) This is beta so it could change.

People in Beta are saying most of these dungeons are awesome, like Caverns of Time. There are a few that some have said were tedious, in regards to mob pulling, but most have stated that the boss fights were fast, fun and some even requires quick thinking and reflexes. Gotta remember though that I don't think Karazhan and the rest of the 10+ person instances have been put in yet. Since those will be what most people are really looking forward too!

I'm glad the website finally got the Collector's Edition back up. I just pre-ordered another copy.

There's no telling how long that the website will have pre-orders still up. If you pre-order through the website, (I got 2-day shipping on mine, which was $5.99) be prepaired to spend about $90 after taxes, special shipping charges, etc...

Of course, I'd rather spend $90 than not get it and see it on Ebay for the cheapest of like $300.

I agree though, nice for them to let us know at 1 am instead of getting it out of the way about a month ago, when they knew they were cutting Beta close to release. The expansion should have been brought out by Working Delays.
