I wonder if they decided to go with Hornswoggle at the end to "surprise" everyone. By that I mean, that Vince knew that his "son" was going to be revealed, but had creative not inform him, or anyone else who it was until the actual unveiling. because those reactions (both by Vince and Triple H) were too good to be staged. I mean come on, Trips face was red and he could hardly stand up from laughter and I've only seen that one other time and that's when he rolled that footage of Foley's farewell.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Because this isn't a filler or anything until Kennedy comes back. Noooo.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Well, the true spirit of ECW has been dead for some time. Sandman was actually going to be pushed decently, then.. I dunno. But when Sandman went, I know its not long before Dreamer and Richards go too.
Edit: Also I need to find a clear cut lengthy version of Hornswoggle's theme. None of that live recording that has some bits cleaned up and then you can still hear cheering. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
The problem was the tri-brand anyway. I don't know where the hell Vince thought that was a good idea. Well, it could have been if they indeed were treated seperately. Like-say most WCW talent on Smackdown (and call it Thunder) or turn Monday Night Raw, into Monday Night Nitro. 3 hours, etc... Treated like completely different brands instead of it being "A brand and B brand" But they tried to make them different but "the same" also. Doesn't matter anyway, TNA's getting a 2 hour slot. I'll just start watching Thursdays. (I don't even watch Smackdown anymore, because of the way the local station that aired it having it air at like 1 am when I first moved here)
But alas, it's not going to be as awesome as it was 10 years ago, sadly. Heyman had control for a while, butVince had the "ultimate say" in each matter. :| This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Wrong about what? The tri-brand? That was the worst idea in WWE history. It COULD have been pulled off if done correctly, but they decided to not do it right at all. They ended the storyline of Shane and Stephanie owning WCW and ECW respectively, when they brought Flair in by giving him "their share" of everything. If they had stuck to where Shane had control of WCW and Stephanie had control of ECW and went from there, it wouldn't have been that bad and they could have made something of it. But Vince's ego wouldn't let that happen. So he had Triple H squash every WCW/ECW original he could (well between Trips and the rest of the WWE loyalers...)to show off his peen that he is the superior one.
Between the writers and the bookers (and all the scandles hitting at once) WWE is ass compared to 10 years ago. TNA is fresh, but they need to pull something out to grasp control and show everyone they're serious business (which I love TNA and hope it does). I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Figured I'd add this little tidbit of news about the Vince McMahon son storyline:
"Vince McMahon was said to be irate at the fact that future plans for the illegitimate son were being leaked out. Both he and Stephanie gave a lecture to the WWE writing crew about it. They were so paranoid about the identity of the son being revealed that they didn't tell anyone who it was going to be and flew in all the WWE talents to make sure nobody could rule anyone out by process of elimination. Also (I missed it off course) but seems Jimmy Hart was on People's Court yesterday, cutting promos and throwing out Hulk's name like it was going to help his case. (lewl) I was speaking idiomatically. |
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Spoiler:
![]() Oh man, I hope they drag this out the full length of Kennedy's suspension... this is just too damn good... Most amazing jew boots |
They were chanting "You can't wrestle".
I don't think he's tweening. He got cheered for pedigreeing both of them. It's more like "this was my fight, don't get involved" type of thing What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Yeah, his dad did not deserve that crap from the fans, no matter how much everyone hates Cena with the title. That's disrespectful to no end. Plus it happened in the South (and here in Tennessee too) which makes it doubly-bad. It was even chanted loud enough at the end that you could hear it over JR and King and even as it was fading out...
Sometimes the US fans make me feel ashamed. I remember an event I went to for Smackdown (the one Vince announced the nWo back in Jan 02) and when Lilian Garcia was singing the National Anthem, this fucker in front of me kept saying "What" after every line, trying to be funny. It rightly so pissed everyone off and it's amazing he didn't get thrown out for that crap. Although the funniest thing that ever happened was the last event I went to, where I was in 3rd row/ringside and this person wouldn't sit down when The Rock came out. So we started a "sit the fuck down" chant. I was lol'in that night. (I almost got me the Rock's wristband when he threw it in my direction but some asshole jumped in front of me to get it.) That's why I enjoy watching Asian crowds when they would have Monady Night Raw from Japan. They show so much respect for the sport and cheer and clap when something good happens, boo at buy guys when they do something bad, but you will never see them get rowdy and rambunctious during the match making stupid chants like "You can't wrestle". Jam it back in, in the dark. |
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Yeah, something like that didn't need to be main event buuuut they really don't have any other main event guys on the roster now except for Cena, Triple H and Orton. (Booker T quit) That is until Kennedy comes back. :| But even then, that's 4 and writing's not taking initiative and trying to push someone else to ME status.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Godfather's back? Holy shit I'm going to actually have to make the effort for Smackdown Friday!
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
So I apparently missed something last night as I was in and out of my room during Raw. A 3-second matrix-style video aired. It's speculation that it's a huge teaser for Jericho's return. Trying to find the video on Youtube now.. and Youtube is being SWAMPED right now, probably because of this video. Here's the URL for it

People are saying that this week was SAVE_US.222, next week would be SAVE_US.22J, then finally SAVE_US.Y2J. There's rumors that his return will be Oct 7th (No Mercy)
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
The crazy thing about that is, now people are saying it's HBK returning. :| SO it could be both, or it's either Jericho or HBK... I dunno, I'm actually confused.
Cena's injured. He's going to see Dr. Andrews to see how bad it is. Seems to be shoulder-related that happened in his match with Mr. Kennedy. If it's really bad, Orton's the new champ... And I'll edit this with the two pictures for borg when i get on my other PC. :P ![]() ![]() FELIPE NO |
Also I second the LAWL on Orton. Cena's out 6-8 months. This is almost terrible. The main eventers are each going out as one is coming back in for the same amount of time. I wanted Cena to lose the title, but not like this. I'm going to go ahead and perdict between two outcomes. 1: Mr. Kennedy vs Orton. Kennedy wins and announces at No Mercy (or Raw) that he's the REAL son of Vince (or Hornswoggle's brother to keep Swoggle in the storyline) 2: Jericho/HBK returns and wins the title. Maybe DX is reformed if HBK comes back (or turns heel against Triple H, I don't see Trips being heel again for a while, if for the rest of his active career) What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Think of it this way, they tried turning Austin heel before, but it didn't really work out the first time. So they were like, "How do you get Austin to turn heel and have people actually boo him?" Answer: Have him form a partnership with the one person no one would ever think he would team up with: Vince McMahon. People started booing him after that, then it just became comedic stuff leading up to the end of WCW.
They wouldn't have to continue the feud with Kennedy and Orton. The plan was supposed to be Triple H vs Orton at Wrestlemania, and Orton keeps getting into shit and then getting more and more chances. I'd like to see Kennedy vs Triple H at Wrestlemania. Could be like Kennedy gets the title now and keeps it until Wrestlemania. But I dunno. With Cena hurt, creative has not even a week to come up with something. This is going to be a real test, really. Hornswoggle was a freak accident of a good storyline to come up on the fly, we'll find out Sunday if creative can do it again. Of course they could completely piss me off and bring Edge back to Raw and have him champion again... As for the rep thing, look how many times Orton acted like a complete ass and yet he still gets chances. If anyone else pulled the same shit he did, they'd be long gone. Remember the airplane incident that lead to Mr. Perfect, Scott Hall and one of MANY Goldust firings? True, Trips is really high on Orton, but Kennedy was going to be pushed to huge main event status (and still possibly could). All Kennedy did was buy prescription drugs online (that we know of, other than that, he's been quite clean), let's take a look at what Orton's done. a. Took a shit in a Diva's bag (literally shit in one of their dufflebags. I mean WTF) b. Wrecked a hotel room for over $50k damage because he was told to go home c. He's acted like a complete douche numerous times once he started getting pushed, getting into fights backstage and whatnot (He really was way cool before he got his big push when I met him) I mean the list could go on and on. He's completely fucked himself out of title runs and chances, even being moved to Smackdown and got extremely close to being fired. The whole McMahon son angle was made for Kennedy, it was a big angle that still has potential of playing out, what better way to start it back up with him winning gold? wewt actual discussion Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Which goes to show you the regard WWE has for their fans. I bet they didn't expect Val to get that high up, but damn I reckon some people deserve to have title shots out of respect for their service (not exactly win, but give someone a time in the spotlight). Spoiler:
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Jericho will be back. Vince all but confirmed it last night. At least two seperate occasions. 1. When he said he gives the fans what they want and Y2J chants were overbearing in the arena he goes "I'm not going to give you that now" or something like that and 2. he was having security confiscate Jericho signs. It'll probably be at Cyber Sunday when he returns though.
The Savior Self 8211 is the hint at HBK with H being the eighth letter of the Alphabet, B being second and K being eleventh. According to what I read up on, Spoiler:
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Main event for Cyber Sunday has been chosen. Randy vs ? For the Title. The three choices are going to be: Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy and Shawn Michaels. Plan was originally going to be Randy Orton vs John Cena in a choice of specialty matches. :|
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Oh yeah, it'll be rigged to have the votes go to Michaels. If they had any consideration of the fans, Val would have had the title shot at No Mercy, but with Cena out I guess it was just up to Triple H to take advantage and get another World Title win under his name. He's gotta get all he can in anyway since he's not even sure how much longer he has left physically anymore due to both quad injuries.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Survivor Series may be the debut of the new Hart Foundation, working together with Vince probably. (if not return then, a heel turn by them if they are to debut soon) Probably screwing Shawn over setting up a DX vs Hart Foundation rivalry for a little bit.
I just don't see Triple H turning heel while Orton has the title. (I honestly don't see him turning heel again for the rest of his in-ring career, but eh.) FELIPE NO |
